The Bible is called the Word of God . The early church was devoted to the Apostle's teaching. These were the original followers of Jesus who walked with him and saw miracles first-hand. They were also witness to the physical resurrection of Jesus from the dead. They received the Holy Spirit and were empowered to go out and share God's Word with the world. We read and study the Bible not merely for knowledge about God, but also to encounter the living God through these holy words. Let them shape you over time and receive them with joy!
